JP Corry worked alongside main contractor, OB Construction and Isherwood + Ellis Architects on this refurbishment of an existing building in Belfast city centre. The project was completed in the summer of 2022, and resulted in a stylish, functional office block perfectly suited to the modern requirements of the staff who will work there

JP Corry manufactured and supplied bespoke laminate faced doors, with oak lipping and glazing bead, contributing hugely to the sleek upgrade of this building. The doors were supplied as kits, with pre-primed, pre-built door frames made to suit each individual partition, in a range of fire ratings up to FD60. Glazing was added to doors where required, and of course all the doors were produced to Q-Mark standard and fully third party certified for the fire performance intended

The kits were delivered to site supplied with hinges fitted to the doors and cut outs for the contractors own locks. We also pre-machined certain doors for some high specification parts, including cables for electronic access control systems, and frame mounted lock systems. In order to provide a comfortable workspace allowing the NIAO staff to focus on their daily tasks, it was necessary to reduce noise leaking into offices. To help achieve this, JP Corry supplied the doors with acoustic drop seals fitted and the necessary perimeter seals, resulting in a quiet and peaceful working environment
