St Christopher’s

St. Christopher’s Special School, Longford, caters for pupils between the ages of 4-18 years, with special educational needs who have a Moderate General Learning Disability, a Severe/ Profound General Learning Disability, and pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

The scheme provided an extension and renovation to the existing school, requiring the partial demolition of a section of the existing school to accommodate a new entrance and offices; upgrade of existing buildings; new single-storey extensions totaling 1,960m²; two temporary accommodation buildings totaling 555m² and all associated site works and connections to existing services on an existing adult and child special services campus. The project provided an extension and renovation to the existing school, working with the contractor we designed the ironmongery package to suit the special needs associated with this type of project.
